Henry O. Babcock

Henry O. Babcock, 88, of Clinton Township, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2002, in his home. He was born March 29, 1914, in Fort William, Ontario.
Mr. Babcock retired in 1974 after 29 years of employment with Detroit Edison. He was a life member of Macomb Masonic Lodge 64 and enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his sons, Bob (Christine) Babcock of Ray Township and Wayne (Gloria) Babcock of St. Clair Shores; daughters, Nancy Tisci of Fraser, Beverlee Babcock of Clinton Township and Darlene (Daniel) Smith of Rapid City, S.D.; sister, Evelyn King of Florida; grandchildren, Eric and Bill Babcock, Jennifer Bushon, Lisa Murphy, Stacey, Stephen, Scott, Matthew and Mark Smith, Tina Tisci and Paul Vickers; and great-grandchildren, Caleb Smith, Ashley, Christopher, Richard and Jeremy Bushon, Bradley and Madison Axelson, Sydney, Nathan and Alexander Babcock and Mark Alexander Vickers. He was predeceased by his wife, Arvadell, on Jan. 19, 2002; brother, Frank Babcock; sisters, Edna Morotz, Margaret Johnson and Emily Hazel; and son-in-law, Jim Tisci.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Murphy and Hauss Funeral Directors, 47477 Romeo Plank, Macomb Township, with the Rev. Jerry Volz, pastor of American Lutheran Church in Clinton Township, officiating. Burial will be in Clinton Grove Cemetery, Clinton Township.
