Jim Murphy Ward, 81, of Lenoir, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2004, at Gateway Nursing Home.
He was born Dec. 26, 1922 in Shulls Mills, Watauga County, toJames Amos and Elizabeth Hicks Ward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Trivette Ward and a son, Brian Ward.
Mr. Ward was retired from a furniture factory.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of Word and Truth Ministries.
