Deceased Name: DEATH: GRACE 'BABE' HOWARD
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Edith Grace Peterson Howard, (Babe), returned to her Heavenly Father December 9, 1990 of causes incident to age at the Highland Cove Care Center.
She was born April 25, 1904 in South Jordan to Charles and Hulda Christiansen Peterson. She married Harry Young Howard July 21, 1923; their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 24, 1929. She spent her entire life in the Salt Lake valley that she loved so much. She is preceded in death by her husband and a son, Harry, Jr.
Survived by six children, Charles and wife Evelyn, Salt Lake City; five daughters, Betty Windham, Jacksonville, Flor.; Dorothy and husband Bryce Olsen, Albuquerque, N.M.; Ardie and husband Frank Benton, Las Vegas, Nev.; Sharon and husband Jay Carrol of Harahan, Loui; Cathy and husband Doug Anderson, Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Una Rushton, LaPoint, Utah; Lucille (Snazz) Gabrielson, Heber City; Leah Amundson, Salt Lake City; one sister-in-law, Mabel Peterson; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the LDS Church.
Services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the McDougal Golden Rule Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Wednesday, from 1-1:45 p.m. Interment will be in the Valley View Memorial Park.
