Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 31 at the First United Methodist Church in Big Pine for Ora Lee Harvey, 88, of Big Pine. The Rev. Karen Moore and Pastor Tim Toppas officiated. Mrs. Harvey was born in Mena, Arkansas on Sept. 29, 1905. A resident of Big Pine for more than 50 years, she died May 28 at her home in Big Pine. Survivors include her son, Tim Harvey of Independence, daughter "Tilly" Mildred Brolsma of Big Pine: three brothers Clyde Horton of Big Pine, Claude Horton of San Diego, and Argus Horton of Arkansas: sister Lois Nunnelle of Lakewood, Calif.; eight grandchildren: Cheyenne Harvey, Bob Calloway, Larry Brolsma, Brian Brolsma, Lynn Brolsma, Rick Harvey, Gene Harvey, Suzanne Curtis; Seventeen great-grandchildren and ten great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Ned Harvey; children Orville Harvey, Eddie Harvey, Reva Calloway, and Syble Harvey. Interment was at the Big Pine Crocker Cemetery.
