Robert B. Chatwin passed away on July 3, 2008 at Lakeview Hospital in Bountiful, Utah after suffering from Pneumonia.





Bob was born Dec. 2, 1929 to Bert and Ruth Knight Chatwin in Salt Lake City, Utah. He married Vilate Butcher on Sept. 11, 1953. Together, they are the parents of Melanie Ann and Steven Robert Chatwin. Bob graduated from South High School and served as a corporal in the US Air Force during the Korean War. He was an acclaimed air freight foreman at Hill Air Force Base for 37 years supervising the shipping of missiles. Bob was a quiet man of strength who loved to read, dip chocolates, travel with family, shop and dance with Vilate. His talents included drawing, ceramics, and making model cars and airplanes.




Bob is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jerry and granddaughter, Adrienna McAdoo. Bob is survived by his wife, children, Melanie and Steven, grand-daughters, Jessica and Alysa Chatwin, close friend, Chuck and dear extended family members.





Funeral Services will be held on Tues., July 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. at the Bountiful 11th Ward Chapel, 115 East Wicker Lane (2000 South Orchard Drive). A Viewing will be held Mon., July 7 from 6-8 p.m. at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street and on Tues. from 9:45-10:45 a.m. at the Church prior to the Service.
Interment will be at the Bountiful Memorial Park.
