Hill Quick completed his journey through this lie on January 2, 2005, in Austin, Texas.

Hill was born August 19, 1911, to Ben and Maud Quick on their ranch in Mt. Gainor, Texas. He was a farmer and rancher. He lived his entire life on the ranch where he was born. He loved good horses and foxhounds. Some of his fondest memories were of Sunday afternoon goat ropings and foggy days in the woods with his hounds. He placed great importance on being a good neighbor to both old timers and newcomers in Mt. Gainor.

Hill was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Jacob Clawson Quick; five sisters, Dosia Hohman, Addie Quick, Lima Rose Sanders, Vida Ada Rippy and Willie Maud Rippy.

He is survived by nephews and nieces and many great nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday January 5, 2005, at Harrell Funeral Chapel in Dripping Springs with Reverend Don Duvall officiating. Mr. Quick's nephews will serve as pallbearers. Interment in Pursley Cemetery.
