Linda was the wife of W.P. Kent. She was my sister in law.
Linda Sue Engle Kent, 58, passed away in Houston, Texas on Monday, June 30th, 2008. She was born on December 21st, 1949 in Tampa, Florida to Gladys Merle Harris and Lee Edward Engle, Sr.

Linda graduated from Regan High School in 1968. For six years she was Volunteer Daycare Director at Our Redeemer Lutheran North School. She loved working with the children. For three years she was very involved with the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life". During that time Linda served as a Planning Committee member and also relayed on a team called "Rays of Hope".

Linda was preceded in death by her mother Merle Buoy; father Lee Engle; 3 grandchildren: Nicole Fultz, Phillip Fultz, and Zahara Kent. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 32 years, W.P. Kent; 4 daughters: Mandie Balawi & husband Osama, Tracie Fultz & husband Larry, Faedra Bowers & husband Chris, and Beckie Tingstrom & husband Jason; son Nick Kent; 10 grandchildren: Myah, Angel, Julie, Sarah, Buddy, Ashley, Christian, Jordan, Tara, and Sierra; 2 brothers: Eric Engel and Lee Edward Engle, Jr. & wife Dotty; 2 sisters: Jean Rivard & husband John and Mary Ellen Wright & husband Reggie; numerous nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 3rd, 2008, at Aldine Funeral Chapel located at 9504 Airline Drive in Houston, Texas. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M.on Friday, July 4th, 2008, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church located at 215 Rittenhouse in Houston, Texas with Pastor Lawrence Kelm officiating. A private interment will take place at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas, phone 281-447-8686.

Linda loved life and lived it to the fullest. Her motto was, "Life is short. Live, love and laugh as much as possible; and aways make a memory." She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
