EUGENE, Or., July 30.- (Special.)- L. V. Stingley, for 40 years a resident of the Noti district, died Saturday at his home. he had been in Eugene for the Sunset Trail parade during the day and upon returning home went to work in his garden. He was found dead later.
He was born in Missouri in 1863 and came to Oregon with his parents when a boy. The family settled near Independence, and later he came to Lane county to live. His widow, Mrs. Laura Stingley, and one daughter, Mrs. George Drinkwater, both of Noti, survive. Besides these there is a sister, Mrs. John Shaw of Dallas, and two brothers, J. C. Stingley of Junction City and H. G. Stingley of Willows, Cal.
