Dad was my hero. I will miss getting him his food and
spending time with him.

He worked in advertising most of his life.

Most of that time was spent for one of the
big four department stores in Baltimore.

His sense of humour was good he liked to laugh
he would sometimes begin his day watching a rerun of
M*A*S*H.

He realy liked to watch PBS shows
He also liked reruns of Reba.

At the funeral I noted that he always protected me from
the bullies from Kurt Oakley when I was little to
the black bear of depression when I grew older.
I realy loved caring for him.It was a most wonderful way
to payback.
He served his country in World WarII earned a purple
heart. The Department of War (now Defense) gave him two extra Purple Hearts.

He used one of the extras for a joke.

His next door neighbor could not under stand
why anyone would the next door neighbors sister
Judy. He said "The man should get a Purple Heart"
Dad gave Mr Jim the extra Heart it provided a nice prank at
the party.

I named my son after him. My son took the passing hard.
He is coming along well living by his grandfathers words

"Dont let the bastards get you down"
He allways had time for me.
He took me to the circus when he had a high fever.

He was very fond of the musical "South Pacific"
He saw it on Broadway. He was in New York around
1946 because he got wounded in WW II, and was in the hospital most of that year.
Dad seldom went to church. He did like to read a
lot.

One poem by Ogden Nash Sums things up well.
I did not go to Church today
I trust the Lord to Understand.
