Mary Louise Moran was the daughter of William J. and Sallie Moran of Pike County, Arkansas. Her first marriage to Silas Preston Izard was 20 Nov 1894, at Boggy Depot, Indian Territory. They had 6 children, Leona Pearl, Roy Preston, William Leslie, Sarah Ethel, Lora Bennie and Johny Lois.

After Silas Preston's death in 1909, she married Edward Lee Carson (about 1911) and had 2 daughters, Boyce Wymona and Fleeta. Silas Preston Izard is buried in Condon Grove Cemetery, Johnston County, Oklahoma.

"Granny" Carson was deeply devoted to her Lord and is remembered by her many grandchildren for praying loudly for them by name while they were playing outside her home in Ada, Oklahoma.
