Patricia passed from our lives Monday, June 16, 2008. She lived her life as fully as she could and was inspirational to us all with the "grab the fun" attitude and "double dare ya" was nothing more than "put your money where your mouth is" ! She was born in Reno, Nv on February 4, 1956 to Donald (Fred) and Wanda Parrish. Survivors include her beloved and devoted husband, Jeffrey Nixon of 33 years., brother, Jason Nixon (Crissa) & their children Hartley, Jake, Ally, Emma , Maryjane., Sisters, Judy Cornely (Barry) of Reno, Nv & their children, Noelle Cornely & Stacie Cornely-Speltz., Donna McLean (Robert) of Fairfax, Va & their children, Robert and Christian., Beverly Parrish & her children, Raymond Johnson & Emily Hawkins. Brothers, Larry (Jerri) Nixon of Reno, Nv & their children Heather Nixon, Holly Nixon & Kevin Garrett. Sister, Linda & her sons, Fred (Kim) Bonnefant, Mark Bonnefant, Scott (Beth) Bonnefant, Brian (Arika) Bonnefant., Brother, Greg Nixon (Nancy) & children, Robert (Janet) , Christy (Bill) and Tiffany (Rob). Also surviving is Aunt Esther (Bill) and Uncle Lt.Col. Robert Parrish (Muriel) of Wa; Great Aunt Beverly Carmody of Ia . Last but not least, her companion and protector, MoJo.
Pistol Packin' Patty had many, many friends who are mourning with us.
We would like to thank the entire staff and attendents of Renown Medical for their kindness, considerations and respect that was afforded us. And especially my angel, ERIN. It helped us through our transistion. We also would like to thank the ARCINIEGA, BOUCHER, HANSEN, O'BRYAN, PACKER and SILVERBERG FAMILIES. .
Arrangements were handled through Final Wishes who were most kind, attentive and caring !
She was an avid hunter and camper. Every camping trip was an adventure ! She has gone on ahead of us to make sure we all have our camping spots.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Nevada Humane Society or the charity of your choice.
A Celebration of Life will be held July 4th at dusk. It's a VIKING funeral per her wishes.
Goodbye Aunt Pae - Godspeed and see you soon !!

CARD OF THANKS

Patricia Colleen Parrish Nixon The Celebration of Life for Patricia Colleen Parrish Nixon, February 4, 1956 - June 16, 2008 was held July 4, 2008 at dusk and was a tremendously moving occasion. The Nixon families and Parrish families would like to thank all those who not only attended but participated in any way in this event! Pistol Packin' Patty would have been ecstatically pleased as well as joyous with this show of devotion and camaraderie. It's not often that a Viking funeral is done and this one was spectacular. A special thanks to all those who contributed and/or expressed condolences to us through the various charities, flowers, cards and guest books. Our deepest appreciation's go out to the families of O'Bryan, Arciniega, Boucher, Bonnenfant, Silverberg, Hansen, Preston, Speltz, Carmody, Cornely, McLean, Packer, Jason Gonzales , Doug Memmo, and Mojo. A Celtic Incantation, a Scottish Lament and a Viking funeral - Who could ask for anything more! We would also like to reiterate our thanks to Renown Medical and Final Wishes for all their assistance, care and respect as well as to RGJ Obituary department (Shauna & Kellee) for the their help in preparing our expressions of gratitude.
