Born May 14, 1925 in DuBois she was a daughter of the late Duncan and Margaret (Donaldson) Howat.
She was married to John W. Spinda who preceded her in death in 1992.
She was a homemaker. She was a 1942 graduate of Sandy High School and attended the DuBois Business College.
She was a member of the Falls Creek United Methodist Church, the DuBois Daughters of Scotia and enjoyed cooking.
She is survived by three sons: Jack R. Spinda of Brockway, Gary "Duncan" Spinda of DuBois, Daniel J. Spinda of Falls Creek; one daughter: Mrs. Donald (Barb) Gregg of Falls Creek and eight grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by one brother Robert Howat and one sister Anna Howat.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2008 from 9AM to 11 AM at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 11 AM from the funeral home with The Rev. Kenneth Sherwood officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
