Elsie Lee was the 9th child of 12 children born to Lucille and Edward Sutton. She was born in what was known as "no man's land" on an island off the Gulf between Texas and Mexico.
She married Floyd Nance, Sr, and they had 7 children; Floyd Jr, Marian, David, Rosalie (Candy), and Linda, survies her; 2 sons preceded her.
Elsie died of a gunshot wound to the head, determined to be self-inflicted.
She is lovingly missed.
