GLADYS C. STEWART
Gladys C. Stewart, 84 of Independence, died Wednesday, July 27, 1994 at the Independence Regional Health Center.
Mrs. Stewart was born in Hughesville, Missouri, and moved to this area in 1935. She worked for the Kelly Nursing Home for 10 years, retiring as director in 1980. She was co-director of Resthaven Retirement Home in the early 1960's. She was a member of the Northern Boulevard United Methodist Church. Her first husband, Robert Sharp, died in 1955. Her second husband, Robert Stewart, died in 1965.
Her survivors include a son, Robert Sharp of Independence; a daughter, Betty Jo Alkire of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday at the Speaks Midtown Chapel. Burial will be in Mound Grove Cemetery.∼There is another memorial under the name of Gladys C Stewart, her 2nd husband, with a bio. #27810060
