Clarence "Buddy" Henry Duck Jr., 64, died Saturday, June 3, 2000 in Riverside Regional Medical Center, Newport News. Mr. Duck, a native of Isle of Wight, was a Baptist, a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in the Korean Conflict, and a member of the American Legion, George F. Dashiell Post No. 49, Smithfield. Survivors include wife, Barbara Hanks Duck; mother, Belva Holland Duck of Smithfield; two sons, Thomas P. Duck of Richmond, D. Scott Duck of Nags Head, N.C.; three daughters, Ursula D. Millican of Richmond, Amanda D. Avery of Kitty Hawk, N.C. Leslie D. Stone of Orlando Fla.; three sisters, Nancy Duck of Smithfield, Becky Wiggins of Newport News, Belva Ann Snow of Kill Devil Hills, N.C.; one brother, Michael Duck of Portsmouth, and one grandchild, Devon Halbert. A memorial service will be held Monday, June 5, 2000 at 4 p.m. in Colonial Funeral Home Chapel, Smithfield with Rev. John Reese officiating.
