Norma Eaton
WALNUT – Norma Violet Owen Eaton, 76, died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008, at Tippah County Hospital in Ripley. She was a retired owner of Walnut Cleaners for more than 30 years. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where she played the piano, organ and sang for the choir. She enjoyed cooking, reading and working crossword puzzles.

Services will be at 3 p.m. today at McBride Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Brian Tatum assisted by Bro. Tommy Wilder and Bro. Danny Moss officiating. Burial will be in Tippah Memorial Gardens in Ripley. McBride Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include four daughters, Sherry Rowland of Toone, Tenn., Jean Mattox (Johnny) of Kossuth, June Collins (Colin) of Myrtle and Jennifer Eaton of Walnut; two sons, Tommy Eaton (Cecilia) of Como, Johnny Eaton (Pat) of Tiplersville; one sister, Dorothy Baker of Covington, Tenn.; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. William Ellis Eaton Jr.; her parents, Thomas Monroe and Clara Modenia Adair Owen; two sisters, Beatrice Mason and Christine Kuykendall; one brother, Rudolph Owen.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Eric Rowland, Nick Rowland, Jason Mattox, John Eaton, Clay Collins and Shane Hall.

Visitation will be from 7 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.
