Ruben Jack Gray, Jr., 70, passed away Friday, June 6, 2008. Jack was born on August 3, 1937 in Gladewater, Texas to Ruben J. and Mollie Ellen Gray. He grew up in East Texas, moved to Corpus Christi in 1977 and then moved to Odem, Texas in 1999. He worked in the oilfield industry for over 40 years and served in the National Guard. He enjoyed genealogy, and was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan.
Jack loved to spend time with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers-in-law T.O. Thompson and Jack Martin.
Jack is survived by his wife Pauline Gray of Odem, Texas; his daughter Kamala Ellen (Samuel Basurto) Gray of Corpus Christi, Texas; his grandchildren, Erick Lee Morin and Lydia Ann Basurto; two sisters, Gwen Thompson and Pat Martin both of Longview, Texas and numerous nephews and nieces.
