Mary Margaret McCloskey (nee Sheraka) was a remarkable woman, left orphaned at age 13 as the oldest of 6 children, she was able in later years to bring all of her siblings together even though they had been adopted and scattered throughout the state of Illinois. She was a strong woman of Lithuanian and Russian heritage. She was my grandmother.
