Edith L. Costello 92, of Springfield died at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday at the Dirksen House. She was born July 11, 1896, in Palmyra, the daughter of J. Henry and Nellie Crum White.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Irene Robinson.
Surviving are her husband, Stephen; three grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Oak Hill Cemetery, Palmyra, with the Rev. Charles Lee officiating.
