Mrs. Adeline Saunders a native of Stockholm died about midnight last Tuesday at her home in Greene Street, following an illness cf several months from the infirmities of old age.
She was born June 6,1851, in North Stockholm, the daughter of Ransford and Samantha Rogers. In 1865 she was married to Martin J. Saunders. They removed to Delcalb Jct. about 40 years ago. Mr. Saunders died in 1916.
Nine children were born, five of whom survive. They are Mrs. Ralph Abbott of Lebanon, N. B., William Saunders of Gardner, Mass., Mrs. Jennie Humphrey of North Tarrytown, Mrs. Lloyd Watkins, and Mrs. A. C. Sarr of Dekalb Junction.
Mrs. Saunders was a member cf the Presbyterian Church and Missionary Society and of the local branch of the W.C.T.U.
The funeral services were held from her late home, Thursday at 2:30 p.m. Rev. Allan Bowering of Heuvelton and Rev. George Dando of Dekalb Jct., officiating. Burial was in the Dekalb Union cemetery.
