Charles Calvin Overmier was born at Hastings, Iowa, August 23, 1890, and departed this life at the home of his parents, in Hopkins, Mo., October 14, 1929, aged 39 years, 1 month and 21 days.

He leaves a wife and two small children, Blanch and Charles, and two sons by a former marriage, Dale and J.C. Also his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Overmier, of Hopkins, and one sister, Mrs. Frank Cox, of Lincoln, Nebr. In addition to these a number of uncles, aunts and many distant relatives.

He spent much of his early life near Pickering, Mo., later moving to Farragut, Iowa. From Farragut, he went to Jacksonville, Florida, after which he spent about one year in Hopkins, running a garage. Returning to Florida, he remained until a short time before his death.

In his early life he united with the Farragut, Iowa, Christian church. Last Christmas he took ill with influenza which turned into tuberculosis and caused his death.

Funeral services were held at the Christian church Friday, October 18, at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. B. H. Harmon, with burial in the Maryville cemetery.

**Note: At the time of his death his wife was Lula Belle Allen Overmier.
