April 2005 - Passage. Sherman S. Doyle, our loving husband, father, and grandfather passed away on April 19, 2005, in Orem, Utah. He was surrounded and comforted by his loving family.

Sherman was born in Lehi, Utah on April 4, 1919 to James and Clara Sabey Doyle. He married Bernice Pittman on Oct. 10, 1945. They were sealed in the Manti Temple. After 35 years she passed away. He later married Geneva Markham Worthen.

As a young man Sherman served in the US Marine Corps. He then worked for Geneva Steel for 35 years. He loved the outdoors, collecting rocks, great vacations, BYU football games, enjoying winters in Arizona, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by Neva, his wife of 25 years. Children; Wade (Toni) of Herriman; Kay (Lonnie) of Orem; Kerry (Jay) of AZ; Shane of Draper; Michael of Orem; Karren of CA; and Janice of AZ. 32 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Bernice, parents, brothers and sisters, one grandson, Anthony. Sherman was a great man with a fun sense of humor and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at the Olpin Family Mortuary Chapel, 494 South 300 East, Pl. Grove. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery. Obituary appeared in the Daily Herald on-line April 21, 2005.
