Virginia was the daughter of Harriet and Kight Lane of Lubbock, Texas. She was also the sister of Julia (Lane) O'Dell of Amarillo, Texas. She attended Ambassador College in Big Sandy, Texas. She was a friendly person, who later return to Ambassador College to serve as a librarian there. Eventually, she met and married Marcel "Mark" Bolzern in May 1986, and moved to Alaska to be with him. Mark and Virginia lived in various places including, Alaska, Colorado, and Oregon. Virginia passed away at the young age of 52 after a battle with cancer. She was involved in a personal ministry called "Bring Back the Joy".
