JAMES WILLIS MORROW, aged 44 years, of 31 West Second street, died at 7:50 a. m. today at the Waynesboro Hospital of a blood infection said to have resulted from an injury received May 8 while employed on WPA construction of the sanitary sewer system on North Potamac street. Morrow, it is said, was struck by a stone and suffered a bruise which became infected. Until Thursday his condition seemed improved. He suffered a relapse and was removed to the Hospital Sunday noon.
He was born at Rouzerville, the son of James H. and Emma K. (Rodgers) Morrow. He had lived in Waynesboro for the last thirty years coming here from Rouzerville. He was a baker by trade and followed that occupation for 25 years. For the last two years he had been employed on WPA projects.
Mr. Morrow was a member of the Church of the Brethren. He was also a member of the Mechanics Fire Company.
Surviving are his wife, Bertha D. Baker and thirteen children, Frederick, West North street; Mrs. Austin Helser, West Second street; Mrs. Frank W. Bowders, Lester, Harvey, James, Jr., John, Robert, Charles, Bertha, Emma, Dorothy and Marie at home.
His mother, Mrs. Emma Kate Rodgers Morrow; a sister, Mrs. Harvey Wilders, Waynesboro, a half-brother, Charles Rodgers, Wayne Heights and two grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 2:30 o'clock from the home in charge of the Rev. Levi K. Ziegler. Internment will be made in Green Hill cemetery.
The body may be viewed Tuesday evening between the hours of 7 and 9 o'clock.
