From the SOUTH BEND (IN) TRIBUNE, June 12, 2008:

SOUTH BEND - Rita A. Celichowski, 75, passed away at 8:06 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Rita was born October 30, 1932, in South Bend, to the late Martin and Hattie (Przybylski) Orlowski.

On May 10, 1952, she married Norbert A. "Norby" Celichowski in South Bend, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Ernest Orlowski, and by her son, Allen, in 1954.

She is survived by her three children, Anita Celichowski of South Bend, Sylvia (Craig) Mathews of South Bend and Chris Celichowski of Vandalia, MI; a grandson, Adam Celichowski of South Bend; two great-grandchildren, Sasha and Jade Celichowski; and by a sister, Evelyn Futa of South Bend.

Rita was a great mom who loved her children, grandchild and great-grandchildren. She loved roses and enjoyed working in her garden. She also enjoyed the time she spent at the lake. She was a member of St. Adalbert Catholic Church.
