Nathaniel Scott Barnett, age 17, of Batesville, Arkansas died Saturday, June 7, 2008 near Poughkeepsie, Arkansas. Born on July 4, 1990 in Batesville, he was the son of William Elijah Barnett, Jr. and Teresa Joyce Candler Barnett.

Nathaniel was a 2008 graduate of Cave City High School and loved music, hunting, fishing, old muscle cars, motocycles and the country life.

He was a member of the Sulphur Rock First United Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include his parents, William Barnett, Jr. and Teresa Barnett of Batesville; two brothers, William Barnett, III of Batesville and Jonathan Barnett of Aiken, South Carolina; one sister, Alicia Hubbard of Jonesboro; his grandparents, Ancil and Bonnie Candler of Batesville; three nieces; one nephew and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; William Elijah Barnett, Sr. and Carrie Alice Barnett.

Services will be Wednesday, June 11, 2:00 p.m., at the Sulphur Rock First United Pentecostal Church with Dennis Killman officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Batesville under the direction of Willis Funeral Service of Batesville.

Pallbearers will be Lucas Doyle, Brice Foust, Charlie Treadway, Taggert Morgan, Chris Wilkes, Shane Sullins, Anthony Murrell and Justin Wilson.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 4-7 p.m.
