Rita Caroline Gibbs, formerly of La Grande,Oregon, passed away on March 2,2008 in Mesa,Arizona.
Rita was born December 27,1942 to Wilbur and Palma (Huys) Morrison in Baker,Oregon. She grew up in Eastern Oregon and married Garold John Gibbs in 1958 after her freshman year in high school. She graduated from Union High School in 1961. Rita worked for various companies before opening her own bookkeeping service in La Grande,Oregon. She later moved to Mesa, Arizona in 1998.
Survivors include her two children, Curtis Allen Gibbs, of Sheridan, Oregon and Wanda Renee Bailey and husband, Don, of Oakley, California; mother, Palma Morrison of Darby, Montana; two sisters, Sylvia Keller and husband, Don, of Alturas, California and Priscilla Hopkins and
husband, William, of La Grande, Oregon; brother, Wilbur Morrison, Jr. of Missoula, Montana along with several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Morrison, Sr.
