Martha was the daughter of James Hart and Rebecca (Bradford) Hart. She had older sisters Ann, Marietta, Sarah and Clarinda. Sarah and Clarinda died at young ages.
Martha married Charles Plaster on Sept 30, 1869 in Piatt Co., Ill. They had three children Annette b. Oct. 1870, Emily, and James Edwin. Annette was mentally handicapped and lived with her parents until they passed away and in 1930 she was found living with her sister Emma and Emma's husband Walter.
