WILLIAM H. YOUNG, 82 formerly of 245 Union Street, died Tuesday evening following an extended illness.
He was born June 23, 1883 at Penn Mills, Clarion County, a son of Valentine and Sarah Blair Young.
Mr. Young a resident of Oil City for the past 60 years had worked in the oil fields all his life. He had been employed by the Breene Oil Company and the Ramage Oil Company as a pumper.
He was married to the former Myrtle Atkinson in April 1905. She preceded him in death on April 19, 1963.
Mr. Young was a member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, Clyde Young of Franklin RD 2, two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Sager of Bradford and Mrs. Eva Albaugh of Oil City RD2; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
