Dr. Eugene K Bowles was a much loved old-time country doctor who served the people of Potts Creek Virginia. He also served in both World War I and World War II.
He was the son of Joel Benjamin Bowles and Eugenia Thomas. He married Eleanor Echols Taylor in about 1910 and they had about seven children. Sons included Cable Bryant, Joel Benjamin, and Edward Bowles. Grandchildren included Joel Bowles of Covington, VA and Robert Ben Bowles of Thibodaux, LA.
