PEARL - Mrs. Dorothy Cooksey Scallorn, 69, died Tuesday at Rankin General Hospital following an extended illness. Services are 11 a.m. today at Baldwin-Enochs Funeral Home chapel with burial in Jackson Memorial Gardens in Jackson.
A native of Lena, she had lived in Pearl for the past 16 years and was retired from the Driver's License Bureau of the Mississippi Highway Safety Patrol. She was a member of the Crestwood Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Scallorn of Pearl; daughters, Mrs. Patsy Jensen of Braxton, Mrs. Louise Horn of Fannin and Mrs. Mary Berry of Pearl; sons, Marlin Cooksey Jr. of Jackson, Edward Cooksey of Richland, Edwin Cooksey of Atlanta, and James Cooksey of Huntsville, Ala.; brother, James E. Glaze of Jackson; sisters, Mrs. Markoleta Spencer of Jackson and Mrs. Mary Cane of Jackson; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
