He was a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Navy, WW II, and retired from the Universal SCP Co. that he started. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise (Walton) Andrew, whom he married in 1946. She died October 2, 2006. He attended Washington State University; worked at the Portland shipyards, and later obtained his degree in Chemical Engineering.
Survivors include their children, Carol Johnson, Benton Harbor, MI, Sue Mosher, Montgomery, TX, and Rick Andrew, Valdosta, GA; grandchildren, Dustin Johnson, Michael Hill, & Katie Andrew.
Interment followed funeral services and a celebration of his life at the Twin Lakes Presbyterian Church, where he had been a member, on Friday, May 2, 2008.
