He was a retired coal miner and a member of UMWA.
He is survived by two sons, Jerry Franklin Legg and Terry Lee Legg Sr., both of Gordon; four daughters, Phyllis Burns of Bob White, Diana Prince of Quinland, Alice Cabell of Clarksburg, Ruby Hurley of Williams Mountain; three sisters, Ada Green of Gordon, Juanita Legg and Topsy McCormick, both of Salisbury, N.C.; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, with the Rev. Phil Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in White's Branch Cemetery, Gordon.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
