LEWIS KIMBALL TYPHOID VICTIM

Lewis Kimball, progressive young Montrose County farmer, succumbed
Wednesday evening at St. Luke's Hospital to an attack of typhoid fever.

He had been ill over five weeks and had been in the hospital about three weeks,
and tho he put up a brave battle for his life and had the best attention skilled
science could give him in the hope of saving him, The master who rules the universe
willed otherwise and he was called to his reward at 9:30.

Mr. Kimball had been a resident of Montrose for nearly two years and was a man well like by everyone who knew him. Upright in character and a kind friend and neighbor,
thoroughly devoted to his home, his death is a loss to the community.

Mr. Kimball was but 21 years of age, and was born in Denver, July 15, 1897. He was
married to Miss Etta Harris of this city, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.L. Alderman, their
marriage taking place two years ago this coming November in Idaho Springs.
They came to Montrose in February of 1917. One little son, Elmer Lee, who will be
a year old next month, was born to them.
Mr. and Mrs. Kimball resided on North Mesa, where he was farming. Besides his wife and little son, Mr. Kimball is survived by his father and a sister, the latter of whom was
with him for some time during his illness, but when he appeared to be improving
last week, returned to Idaho Springs.

The father will come here for the funeral. Mr. Kimball had been reared in the
Methodist Church and was an exemplary young man.
Funeral arrangements in charge of C. L. Hawley, of the Wester Furniture company.
