Howard Lee Knight, 77, of Sale Creek, died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, in Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, Tenn.
Howard was born in Pikeville on Sept. 11, 1928, the son of the late Sidney and Katherine (Price) Knight. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn Taylor.

Howard was a truck driver for American Van Lines for over 25 years and had lived in Sale Creek since 1971.

Howard is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cora "Kitty" (Yearwood) Knight; his sons, Jerry (Jeri-Lynn) Knight, Tommy Knight and George (Tonya) Knight all of Sale Creek; a brother, Claude Knight of Birmingham, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Johnny Taylor officiating.

Burial followed in Pleasantview Cemetery in Graysville.

The family is being served by Vanderwall Funeral Home in Dayton, where they will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m.
