Gary Ewell Derryberry, Sr. age 57, of Chattanooga and formerly of Graysville, TN died September 25, 2007 in Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga. Gary was born in Hinkle, GA and lived most of his life in Graysville until moving to Chattanooga in 1999. Gary was employed as a dump truck operator and was an avid camper. He was of the Church of Christ faith. Gary is survived by his wife of 36 years, Kathy (Porter) Derryberry of Chattanooga, his son, Gary Derryberry, Jr. also of Chattanooga, daughter, Melody (Charles) Yearwood of Dayton, mother, Martha Sue McDougal of Chattanooga, four grandchildren, Jessica Yearwood, Jenny Yearwood, Hunter Derryberry and Bradley Shipley, all of Dayton. He is also survived by his brothers, Steve (Ann) Derryberry of Ft. Oglethorpe, GA and Billy (Ramona) McDougal of Cleveland, sisters, Charlene Love of Graysville, Maxine (Chris) Jones of Chickamauga, GA, Karol Sue (Gary) Hammontree of Decatur and several nieces and nephews. Gary was preceded in death by his fathers, Jasper Derryberry and Kenneth McDougal. Visitation and services were held Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev.
