Mrs. Smith was a housewife. She was the daughter of William Roland and Sarah Wilkinson Thompson. She was a retired Amite County school teacher and a member of the First Baptist Church of McComb.
She was preceded in death by two husbands, Thomas H. Talbert and Howard C. Smith.
She was the mother of Mignonne Talbert and Mildred S. Springer of McComb. Other survivors include two sons, Howard L. Smith of Shreveport, LA and William J. Smith of Orlando, FL; one sister, Bertie Thompson Holloway of Orange, NJ; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
