Ellen was married to Moses Farnum until his death in 1872.She married 2nd to Samuel Atwood also of Millington in 1874.She had 6 children with Moses and 2 with Sam.She owned the 1st millinary store in Millington from about the late 1850's or early 1860.The building she did business in remains opened on State St.as an antique shop today with the original wood floors and some fixtures in place .At the time of her death ,she was living at the home of 1 of her daughters in Clio. Leaving with her passing was 7 of her 8 children,17 grand children and at least 3 great grandsons .She out lived 6 of her 7 step children and had many step grand and great grandchildren.She is buried with her 2nd husb. Sam Atwood , not far (within sight)of Moses L. & his 1st wife SUSAN.∼
