Ernest Jackson "Slim" Taylor, SR., 84 of Pensacola passed away February 12, 2005.

He was born on April 1, 1915 to John Daniel Taylor and Frances Emma Jane Pipkins at Poarch, Alabama.

Ernest owned Warrington Taxi for over 55 years. He served as Fire Chief of Warrington Volunteer Fire Dept. for many Years.

As a Young man, he served in the Civilian Conservation Corp. (CCC) where he served in Ridgeway, Pennsylvania and Camp Wildcat Canyon in Berkeley, California He really loved his experience with CCC and was honorably discharged in 1938.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son Stephen Alan Taylor..

He is survived by his loving wife Louise of 65 years and 11 months; daughters, Ann (Jim) Pate of Pensacola, Linda (David) Knouse of Homestead, FL., and Brenda Diane (Patrick) Maloney of Bratt, FL.; Son, Ernest Jackson Taylor, Jr. of Pensacola; Sister, Essie Mae Stanford of Spanish Fort, Alabama; 14 Grandchildren; 24 Great-Grandchildren; 5 Great-Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved him.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 14, 2005 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home with a Graveside service at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday February 15, 2005 at Clopton Cemetery on Davis Highway. Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in Charge.

He was our giant of a gentle man, loved dearly by his family. He will forever be in our hearts.

His Grandson will be serving as pallbearers
