Anson D. Griffin, son of Daniel and Alethea Tucker Griffin, brother to Homer Virgil Griffin, Edward W. Griffin, Augustus Griffin, Edgar F. Griffin, Sally Woods (Sarah Ann Griffin) and Angeline (Griffin) Monroe.
Anson was age 19 in the 1850 census, so b. ca. 1831. Died in a torpedo explosion in Church Run, Crawford, Penn. Obit in Chicago Tribune, Mar.20 and 21, 1869. Also details of accident in the Titusville Morning Herald on March 19, 1869.
