Mrs. Annie Bernice Bonifay Shelby, 61, of Pensacola, died Sunday morning in a local hospital.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola. She was a member of the Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church and the Myrtle Grove Womens Club.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Fannin, Mrs. Clara Nelson, and Mrs. Linda Chinn, all of Pensacola and Mrs. Barbara Burgchardt of Atlanta; two sons, Joseph H. Shelby and Richard E. Shelby, both of Atlanta, her mother, Mrs. Alice Bonifay, of Pensacola; three sisters, Mrs. Hattie Bancroft, Mrs. Edith Gilliland and Mrs. Elsie Yonker all of Pensacola; two brothers, Frank A. Bonifay and Joe E. Bonifay, both of Pensacola and 19 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Myrtle Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Braxton McCurley officiating.

The body will be placed in the church at 3 p.m. from the Fisher-Pou Chapel.

The body will be placed in the Fisher Pou Chapel at 10 a.m., Monday.

Burial will be in the Bayview Memorial Park with the Fisher-Pou Funeral Service directing.

My mother is buried near my great grandmother, it was my mother's wish to do so. My mother was unable to attend my her funeral because she was in Italy because that is where my father was stationed. My mom talked about how she was such a great cook and how she loved her family. I wish I could've met her.
