Joseph A. Fredrickson, age 42 of Appleton, formerly of Durand, Born: March 25, 1966 Died: May 12, 2008 at his home. Joe was the son of William and Jean (LaPean) Fredrickson. He was born and raised in Durand. He graduated from Durand High School in 1984. After high school, he attended CVTC in Eau Claire and received a degree in marketing. Joe then attended UW Stout and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in retail management. Joe worked for Menards for eight years, and then worked at Northern Tool and Equipment Co. Most recently he has been working as a manager for Savers Department Stores. Joe was a wonderful son, a terrific brother and a very good uncle. Joe was an avid sports fan, who took great pride in the Green Bay Packers. Joe is survived by his mother Jean Fredrickson of Eau Claire, twin sisters, Kay (Jason) Early of Oconomowoc, Kim (Peter) Rankin of Madison, one niece, Savannah Rankin, three nephews Grey Rankin and Nathan and Nigel Early, maternal grandmother, Irene LaPean of Arkansaw, his paternal grandfather, Julius Brantner of Durand, many aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, William Fredrickson, maternal grandfather, Alfred LaPean, paternal grandmother, Marie Brantner and paternal grandfather Russell Fredrickson. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 17, 2008 at the Community of Christ Church in Arkansaw. Pastor Dan Richardson and Pastor Mike Richard will officiate. Burial will be in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Durand. Friends may call from 4-8 PM Friday at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.
