BILLY MATHIS BROWN, 71, of Jacksonville died Wednesday, March 26, 2008, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Tampa following an extended illness.
Mr. Brown was born in Jacksonville as the son of the late Grady W. Mathis and Blanche Overmier Taylor. He lived in Jacksonville or Lake City for most of his life. He moved to Tampa two years ago.
Mr. Brown was a stock clerk in the grocery industry and was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Brown is survived by: daughters, Nancy Mullaley of Jacksonville and Karen Hudson (Paul) of Hilliard; and two grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services were held March 29 at Mt. Zion Cemetery near Lake Butler with the Rev. Roger Worten conducting the services. Interment followed under the care of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler.
