Actor. He is best remembered for his role as the angel Pygar in the 1968 Roger Vadim science fiction classic film, "Barbarella", which also starred Jane Fonda. Born in Hollywood, California, to Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputy John Law and actress Phyllis Sallee, he decided to become an actor after taking drama classes at the University of Hawaii. Highly fluent in German, Italian, French, and Spanish, Law moved to New York in the early 1960s and studied with the likes of Elia Kazan at the Lincoln Center Repertory Theater in New York before landing parts in Broadway plays. He also went on to appear in several low budget Italian films before being discovered by famed director Norman Jewison and ultimately cast as the young submariner Alexei Kolchin in his 1966 Cold War comedy film, "The Russians Are Coming, The Russians Are Coming", for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe. His other film credits include, "Smog" (1962), "Hurry Sundown" (1967), "Diabolik" (1968), "Skidoo" (1968), "The Last Movie" (1971), "The Golden Voyage Of Sinbad" (1974), "The Cassandra Crossing" (1976), "Tarzan, The Ape Man" (1981), "Tin Man" (1983), "Nerds Of A Feather" (1990), "Ghost Dog" (1997), "Bad Guys" (2000), "Cinnamon's Chance" (2008), and television appearances in "The Love Boat", "It's A Living", "Murder She Wrote", "Alaska Kid", and "The Young And The Restless." He was married to actress Shawn Ryan, and was the brother of actor Tom Law.
