Born in 1876, ANTON, "Tony" in Perma Russia, he was a high sheriff for the Czar Nicolas. He was in charge of transporting criminals to the salt mines in Siberia. He was also a cattle buyer for the Czar, coming to The Sioux City Stockyards on business. He escaped at the beginning of the Russian Revolution and came into the United States possibly thru Texas.
He later sent for his wife and sons, who arrived in August of 1914. They lived in Sioux City, Iowa. He was a meat cutter at Cudahy in the Sioux City stockyards. Two children were born in the U.S. Helen and Tony, who died as a young boy, (4) Antone died from food poisoning, at age 48.
