Rev. Dr. Edmund Simon Lorenz was the son of Edward and Barbara (Gueth-Geil) Lorenz. He was the husband of Florence Luella (Kumler) Lorenz. They were married October 1, 1878. Florence died September 8, 1943. Rev. Dr. Lorenz was a minister in the Miami Conference of the United Brethren in Christ Church. He was president of Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pennsylvania 1886-1888. He was a hymn writer and composer. He was the Founder and Publisher of Lorenz Publishing Company.
