Robert served in the United States Army and was employed by WCI until it closed. Robert later was employed at the Mansfield Correctional Facility. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and singing karaoke with his family.
Ribert was a member of Wyandotte Free Will Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Debra (Klupp) Adkins; brothers, Clinton Scott and Clyde "Sonny" Adkins; sisters, Judith Adkins, Darlene Adkins and Lila Kinnison.
He is survived by one son ahd daughter-in-law, Robert and Jenny Adkins; four grandchildren, Austin, Samantha, Kylee and Cereniti Adkins; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Bob Simmons, Sandra and Anthony Christo, linda and Allen Bartram, Arlene and Roy Duncan and Betty jo and Ed Crose; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry Dean and Mary Adkins and Bernie and Loretta Adkins; one brother-in-law, Beecher Adkins, all of Mansfield. Robert had 13 nieces and 13 nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
