Mr. William F. Dukes, 90, died Tuesday (December 25, 2001) in the Satilla Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Waycross. He was married to the late Alice Woodard Dukes and was the son of the late A. F. Dukes and Lilian Eva Whilden Dukes and was preceded in death by a sister, Audrey H. Dukes.

He was a retired office manager, with twenty-eight years of service for the Georgia Natural Gas Company.

He was lifelong member of the First Christain Church where he had served as an elder, a board member and Chairman of the Board.

The survivors include two sons, James Dukes (wife Lu Ann) of Waycross and William W. Dukes of Winterville; a grandson Andy W. Dukes of Waycross.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday (December 28, 2001) at the Oakland Cemetery. Elders and Diaconates of First Christain Church are to serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Music Funeral Home tonight from 7 until 9 o'clock.
