Jay L. Richner, 47, of (Sanborn) rural Houtzdale, PA died Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College, PA.

Born on September, 15, 1968 in Philipsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Leo & Violet (Bumbarger) Richner. He married Holly L. (Pedmo) Richner on October 10, 1997 in (Morgan Run) Osceola Mills, PA; she survives at home.

Mr. Richner was of the Christian Faith. He was a laborer for Smith Masonry in Hollidaysburg, PA, a member of the National Laborers Union and a 1989 graduate of the Philipsburg Osceola Mills High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Richner.

Along with his wife, he is survived by three children at home: two daughters, Emily E. Hampton & Paige Richner and a son, Alex L. Richner. He is also survived by: a sister, Eloise Herr of Philipsburg, PA and a brother, Mark Richner & his wife Janet of West Decatur, PA.

The Funeral Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016 at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, PA; with Pastor Donald Smith officiating.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral at the funeral home.
