She was the daughter of Brooks W. and Christine (Hampton) Copeland. She received her bachelor of administration degree from Pepperdine University in 1946. She married Hugh Thomas on Aug. 10, 1946, in Los Angeles. She worked as a real estate agent for First Choice Realty. She enjoyed painting and volunteered at Shared Blessings. She was a member of Lakewood Christian Church and participated in community Bible study. She was a member of the Twin Communities Home Extension Group. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Thomas; parents, Brooks and Christine Copeland, and brother, Fred Copeland. Funeral service will be Saturday, May 10, 2008, at Lakewood Christian Church with interment in Memory Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery, McAlester, Oklahoma.
